Having just celebrated his one-year “gotcha day” at True, it’s only appropriate that this month’s employee spotlight goes to Wayne Silasi, our Digital Marketing Lead. Wayne uses his 12+ years of experience in marketing and advertising to create strategy-driven campaigns that garner impactful results for our clients.

“True is one-of-a-kind. Since I’ve started my journey here, I’ve realized just how much we fulfill our purpose of making digital marketing simple. This key pillar of the company closely aligns with my personal approach of developing a collaborative atmosphere with our partners that allow for teaching and giving guidance”.

Q: What do you like most about working at True?

A: True does a wonderful job of fueling a creative culture that allows for open collaboration among our team. Internally, we respect every team member’s capabilities and acknowledge that everyone is an expert in their own space. Our creative geniuses aren’t afraid to pitch out-of-the-box ideas, and our logistical leaders aren’t afraid to bring us to a middle ground that will allow for the best results. This blend of individuals speaks to the type of environment the leadership team has developed.

Q: What’s your favorite project you’ve worked on so far?

A: I’m particularly excited about a new project we’re starting with Blaklader, a Swedish workwear brand looking to increase awareness in the North American market. Not only will we have the opportunity to develop messaging with a consumer slant, but we will also be working with a lot of visually compelling components on the creative side.  

Q: What is a goal you’d like to achieve while working at True?

A: As the Digital Marketing Lead, I have two specific goals that remain top of mind for me. First, I would like to continue growing True’s digital team by creating an environment where they can be truly effective while being their authentic selves. Second, I am excited about the opportunity to expand our digital offering into programmatic advertising and search engine optimization (SEO) to better serve our current and future partners.

Q: When you’re not working, what do you enjoy doing?

A: When I have some downtime, I enjoy spending time digitally painting. As someone with an artistic background, I find digital painting appealing because I can take my creative vision and achieve more beyond the limitations of conventional mediums.  

I’m also a big family man. Growing up, my family had a tradition of doing “mystery trips” that I’ve carried on with my wife, Rachel, and son, Logan. The trips could range from anything as simple as going out to get ice cream or packing up and going on an adventure to Disney World. It’s fun watching my son’s excitement build as he guesses where we are going.

As the Digital Marketing Lead at True, Wayne seeks out ways to be more efficient and offer greater ROI for our clients.
